South Carolina Wedding Inspiration We’re Completely Obsessed With

We photograph a lot of weddings. And while every single one holds a special place in our hearts, every now and then we find ourselves still thinking about certain details long after the gallery is delivered. This is a roundup of some of those moments — the table scapes, the florals, the design decisions that stopped us in our tracks. Consider this your South Carolina wedding inspiration board.

Deep, Moody, and Completely Stunning | 701 Whaley, Columbia SC

If deep green and burgundy aren’t already on your radar for your wedding day, let this be the post that changes that. This 701 Whaley wedding was a masterclass in moody, sophisticated color — rich jewel tones punctuated with pops of chartreuse that felt fresh and unexpected. White florals from The Eden Florals kept things from feeling too heavy, and the result was a palette that felt simultaneously timeless and completely of-the-moment.

The draping by Illuminations SC created a clean, elegant ceremony backdrop, and ivy lining the iconic 701 Whaley staircase made for the kind of entrance photos we dream about. Glass bottles acting as bud vases along the reception tables added a touch of effortless romance that felt intentional without being overdone. Coordination by Calhoun Events Co and rentals by The Event Guys rounded out a team that clearly knew what they were doing.

Spring Micro Wedding Magic | Millstone at Adams Pond, Columbia SC

This one made us want to throw a dinner party immediately. Millstone at Adams Pond hosted this intimate micro wedding full of soft spring color — purples, blues, and pinks layered with gold accents, crystal glassware, and tapered candles that cast the most beautiful warm glow across the tables. Florals by Hola Lola Floral Co. ran through the center of the table and overhead — floral spheres hung from the ceiling above the guests, which gave the whole space this dreamy, suspended-in-time feeling.

The detail that had us completely swooning? Each guest had a custom acrylic name cutout as their place card. It’s the kind of thoughtful, personal touch that makes a micro wedding feel like the most special dinner you’ve ever been invited to. Coordinated beautifully by Alexandra Madison Weddings.

Colorful, Romantic, and Lit Up at Night | Heron Hill Venue, Gilbert SC

Heron Hill Venue at night is something special — and this wedding leaned all the way into that. Pink, blue, and colorful florals from Twin City Blossoms alongside ivory accents filled both the ceremony and reception spaces with a softness that felt romantic without being overdone. A flower-adorned cross served as the ceremony focal point, ivy crawled up the walls, and bud vases and candles lined the wooden tables throughout. The way this space glowed after dark? Absolutely unforgettable. Planned by Lisa Williams Event Planning.

The Wedding Trend We’re Here For | Coastal Discovery Museum, Hilton Head, SC

Chartreuse is having a moment and we are fully on board. This pavilion wedding at the Coastal Discovery Museum leaned into one of the biggest floral trends — chartreuse and white arrangements in unexpected, sculptural compositions by Lollygag Florals that felt artistic and completely fresh. Satin napkins draped over the edge of each place setting added a luxurious textural contrast that elevated the whole table scape. Simple, intentional, and so incredibly chic. Planned and designed by Bella Blooms and Events.

We're not here to make you fit a mold.
We're here to break it with you.

I'm Samantha, the dreamer behind the lens, the one asking "but how did that make you feel?" and probably overthinking your photo timeline (in the best way). I'm driven by the process: the storytelling, the editing, and that magical energy that happens when people feel safe enough to be themselves.

Brady's my other half in life and in business, the people person who makes friends with your entire wedding party and catches those in-between shots no one else saw. While I'm crafting the vision, he's reading the room and making sure everyone feels at ease.
