We first met Rachel at the Lake Murray Bridal Show, and from that first conversation we just knew this wedding was going to be a good one. They booked us shortly after, and we’ve been looking forward to their day ever since.
A Venue With Soul
Oakbrook Farm in Ridgeway, South Carolina is the kind of venue that has soul. The horses wandering the property, the giant trees, and a gorgeous pond — it’s one of those places that does a lot of the work just by existing. Rachel and Alex exchanged their vows right there at the water’s edge, surrounded by some of the most beautiful natural scenery this state has to offer.
December could have gone a hundred different ways weather-wise, but they got incredibly lucky — crisp winter light, clear skies, and the kind of golden afternoon that makes every frame feel a little cinematic. If you’ve ever wondered whether Oakbrook Farm is worth considering for a winter wedding, let this be your answer.
The Reception With Perfect Lighting
The reception is where things really took off. Big Time Band brought professional lighting and a genuine show, and we’ll be honest — these might be some of the coolest dance floor photos we’ve ever taken. The energy in that room was something else entirely.
The Sparkler Exit We’re Still Talking About
And then the sparkler exit happened. In matching bride and groom sweatpants and sweatshirts. Cozy, a little unexpected, and completely, authentically them — which is exactly the kind of detail we live for.
The Team That Made It Happen
The vendor team was absolutely incredible from start to finish. Lexington Roots Salon and Bridal had Rachel glowing and everything running on schedule (genuinely one of our love languages on a wedding day), and Haley Maree Weddings kept the whole day moving with the best attitude we could have asked for.
