Timeless Engagement Session at the South Carolina State House | Columbia, SC

When Lisa reached out to book an engagement session, she had a clear vision in mind. She shared her mood board with us, and after waiting for her perfect dress to come back in stock, we were ready to bring her ideas to life. We love when couples come with a plan—it gives us the chance to collaborate and make sure we’re capturing exactly what they want, from the poses to the overall vibe.

One challenge we faced was the ongoing construction at the State House. Lisa and her fiancé had their hearts set on some indoor shots, but with the second floor under renovation, we had to adjust. Instead, we suggested taking advantage of the golden hour light outside the South Carolina State House and then heading over to the Arcade Mall on Main Street in Columbia, SC for some classic indoor photos. The mall’s classic charm fit right into their vision and gave us the perfect setting for a few elevator shots Lisa had included in her mood board.

We enjoyed working with Lisa and her fiancé before their big move to Florida. It was fun to see their ideas come together, and we’re glad we could capture these moments as they start this next chapter!
