We love when clients are open to waking up early to catch the morning golden hour. It's not fun waking up early (Samantha's insomnia would agree) but it is SO worth considering when scheduling a session. It's so peaceful, feels more private, and the light just seems to be even more magical than evening golden hour - and this session was no exception.

Jess and Jesse coordinated their outfits perfectly to compliment the "outdoorsy" location they chose. It was nice catching up with Jess (Samantha was in the same sorority at Winthrop University) and hearing all about their soon-to-be new addition! We love that they kept their baby boy's name a secret until delivery and how the name would hold significance to their family.

This is one of our favorite sessions to date. You don't often get perfect conditions to shoot in, but this morning, all of the odds were in our favor. Initially, when we showed up, the fog was so thick that you couldn't even see the river. Luckily, it slowly lifted and created a beautiful diffuse effect during the morning golden hour. It also turned out that the water levels on the Saluda River were exceptionally low that day which exposed a ton of rocks we were able to walk out on to grab a few photos.

We loved being able to take photos for the Blacks and can't wait to meet their baby boy at their upcoming Lifestyle Family Session!
